Dustin Martinez’s Return to the PBR Has Led Him to the PBR Challenger Series Championship

Dustin Martinez is making a long awaited debut in Las Vegas.

Dustin Martinez’s 2023 season was cut short when the Oklahoma bull rider had hip surgery in the summer. He made his return to the arena in February and has had the kind of success that landed him in Las Vegas.

“I guess the time that I spent in the gym changed a lot. I’ve always been the guy that likes to work out, stay in shape, but my training changed a lot,” Martinez said.

Along with rehabbing his hip with teams in Nashville, his hometown of Guymon, Oklahoma, as well as Las Vegas to get back into the physciality of the game, Martinez’s mental preparations have changed. Meeting with a sports psychologist twice a month has leveled up the veteran bull rider’s mental game.

Proper steps and practice bulls have helped him hang in with the younger, up and coming bull riders.

The PBR Challenger Series Championship is a two night event and Night No. 2 will be underway soon.
