Dusty Tuckness Discusses Upping the Ante in His Rehab Workouts

Since breaking two bones in his leg during Round 9 of the NFR, bullfighter Dusty Tuckness has had multiple surgeries, but now he has been given the green light to get more aggressive in his rehabilitation.

A couple of weeks ago, Tuckness was cleared for full activities, which meant he was able to run and jump.

“It was great hearing that, obviously now we’re firing those muscles different and working them in a higher impact situation,” he said. “The intensity is turning up.”

Throughout that process, Tuckness said he will continue to increase the volume of his reps on his left leg while simultaneously working on stability and hand-eye coordination.

“Everything is looking good, I’m getting around well and I’ve been starting to get into the dirt a little bit,” he said. “It’s been a journey, but it’s all part of God’s plan.”
