Dusty Tuckness is a ten time PRCA Bull Fighter of the Year, this Wrangler National Finals Rodeo was his 13th trip in Las Vegas has a bull fighter.
During Round 9, Tuckness stepped up to protect a bull rider when the bull stepped directly on his leg. He left the arena on a stretcher with an open fracture of both bones. He went into surgery this morning and is being discharged from the hospital.
Dr. Tandy Freeman with Justin Sports Medicine said that Tuckness will be out for 4-12 months but is estimating 6 months.
