Oklahoma Freedom drafted the 2021 PBR Rookie of the Year, Eli Vastbinder, as their No. 1 pick before they took Derek Kolbaba, Chase Outlaw, Briggs Madsen and Caden Bunch with Cord McCoy as the Head Coach.
“I’m pumped, I couldn’t think of a better coach. Any time you draw Cord’s bulls, the whole time you’re riding him you just hear [McCoy] hollering for you so I want to be on a team like that and I’m pumped for this new season,” Vastbinder said.
The training aspect going into the PBR Team Series is likely to put already high caliber bull riders on another level of competition and is something that almost all of the cowboys are looking forward to.
Vastbinder is coming off of the best regular season of his career. He finished No. 9 in the world for the second straight year and that momentum can carry him as he leads the Oklahoma Freedom behind Head Coach McCoy into the PBR Team Series.
