PBR’s Velocity Tour made a stop in College Station, Texas where Elijah Mora was your champion.
Mora rode two out of three bulls. In Round 1 he went 87.5 points on Axel Surgeon to be first before he came back in Round 2 to be first again, this time with an 88 point ride on Major Nelson.
“Just take the pressure off of myself. I know what I had to get done so other than that, I had to clear my mind, just ride bulls and get the job done,” Mora said about his mindset going into the weekend.
He said his long term goals are to make the World Finals and the Velocity Finals. Mora is headed to the Velocity Finals in May.
“I’m excited. The only thing that really is a bummer about it is my sister graduating that same weekend but I’ve already cleared it with her and I’m just going to keep working hard, doing what I was doing, go in there with a great mindset and one thing, you know, I want to win,” Mora said.
With this win from College Station, Mora sits No. 54 in the PBR World Standings and he is ranked No. 2 in the Velocity Tour Standings.
