Ellensburg Rodeo: Friday Night Daysheet, Performance 1

Ellensburg Rodeo is set to bring you yet another weekend of star-studded lineups and the best of the best in rodeo. The Labor Day Weekend tradition officially reutns at 10 PM ET on The Cowboy Channel and Cowboy Channel+.

BAREBACK RIDING

Cole Reiner is on the bubble and a matchup with up and coming bucking horse, Minnie of Big Bend Rodeo, may or may not put him into the money at this lucrative rodeo.

STEER WRESTLING

Trisyn Kalawaia has been steady this summer and already has a 4.8 under his belt from Round 1. A 3.9-second run is what won the First Round.

TEAM ROPING

Brenten Hall and Kaden Profili were one of many teams to stop the clock at 5.5 seconds and split fifth-place money in Round 1. The have been the fastest so far out of the team ropers up on Night No. 1.

SADDLE BRONC RIDING

Korkow Rodeo’s Dirty Banana is who No. 2 saddle bronc rider in the World Damian Brennan will nod his head on. Leon Fountain was 84 points on the horse in Ogden and Brennan will have his work cut out for him.

TIE-DOWN ROPING

A 7.8 from Haven Meged smoked the competition in Round 1, so we can only expect things to heat up. Hunter Herrin’s first run was an 8.5 and he is the veteran of the group that is out tonight.

BREAKAWAY ROPING

Braylee Shepherd, Kelsie Domer and Josie Conner all clocked a 2.7 to miss the Round 1 win by one tenth of a second. They are sure to get Round 2 started off with a bang.

BARREL RACING

LaTricia Duke’s 17.18 is leading Round 2, but a 17.03 was the best time in Round 1. Summer Kosel’s 17.09 was enough for second in Round 1 and she is set up for success in Ellensburg.

BULL RIDING

Cooper James is hustling to be one of three rookie bull riders that cinch a trip to Las Vegas. Flying 5 Rodeo’s Rooster has had two qualified rides on him in the last two seasons, the most recent being an 84.5-point ride courtesy of Derek Kolbaba.
