Ellensburg Rodeo: Finals Daysheet, Performance 4

The Labor Day celebrations commence with the crowning of Ellensburg Rodeo Champions. It begins at 3 PM ET on The Cowboy Channel and Cowboy Channel+.

BAREBACK RIDING

A pair of 85.5 point rides sit on top of the Long Round courtesy of Orin Larsen and Jess Pope. Today, Pope has matched up with Disco Party. Cole Franks won the Horse Heaven Roundup on the Calgary Stampede bronc after an 88.5 in the Short Go.

STEER WRESTLING

The competition is tight in the big man’s event of bull dogging. Logan Kenline has focused on smooth clean runs to be No. 2 in the Average while Dakota Eldridge smoked one in Round 2 to be No. 1 in the Average.

TEAM ROPING

Dustin Egusquiza and Levi Lord picked up the Round 1 win with the second fastest time of the rodeo and they trail the No. 1 teams in the Average by just four tenths of a second.

SADDLE BRONC RIDING

Wyatt Casper picked up the Xtreme Broncs Finals win after perfect matchups and he could walk away with the Ellensburg title after drawing Calgary Stampede’s Xena Warrior. It is a rematch from Las Vegas wehre Casper went 87.5 points on the mare.

TIE-DOWN ROPING

Kyle Lucas leads the Average by four tenths of a second leaving him little room for error going into the Short Go. Riley Webb;s 7.5 is the fastest run we’ve seen with Haven Megeds 7.8 being the only other sub 8-second run in Ellensburg.

BREAKAWAY ROPING

A star-studded lineup is set for the breakaway including World Champion Martha Josie, future Hall of Famer Keslie Domer and the young super star that is Josie Conner.

BARREL RACING

Jodee Miller made the fastest time of the rodeo in Round 2 but Michelle Alley is focused on the Average game but Miller sits No. 2 going into the Short Go.

BULL RIDING

Clayton Sellars is coming off a big win from the Xtreme Bulls in Ellensburg. His Short Go bull in the rodeo is Corey and Lange’s Entitled Little Tool, a bull who has one qualified ride this season courtesy of Hayes Weight in Hermiston.
