Emily Beisel and Liza Smoke Two Go-Rounds to Sweep Bracket 4 of the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo

Barrel racer Emily Beisel lands in the Winner’s Circle twice in Fort Worth.

Emily Beisel ran down the alley at Dickies Arena on the bay mare called Liza that fans have grown to love almost as much as Chongo. She claimed both Go-Round wins, the first came after a 16.11-second run and the second was thanks to a 16.26 second run.

“She was great. What a cool format, I mean, I knew today I just wanted to go make a smart run and gosh, to have a horse you can go do that on and she still clocks. I mean, she just was flawless. I’m so thankful for Liza,” Beisel said.

While the arena in Fort Worth is something that Beisel also took into account when she chose to run Liza, the decision overall has paid off and she is Semi-Finals bound.
