Emily Miller Beisel was inducted into the Garden City Community College Hall of Fame over this past weekend.

The Oklahoma barrel racer had an experience getting both to and from the Hall of Fame induction ceremony. It included flight delays resulting in a charter flight, making it to Garden City right on time and then immediately turning around to drive through Oklahoma as she had to rebook her entire trip back to California.

Her tenacity through the weekend was undeniable. She made it back to Clovis Rodeo where her horse Beau helped qualify them for the final round.

“It was a wild ride, but only executed successfully because of my people,” Beisel said on social media.

The three-time National Finals Rodeo barrel racer was inducted into the Hall of Fame alongside Keith Smart, Phil Loadbolt, Bob Larson and Tamara Jones.
