Erin Taormino Makes History has First Cowgirl to Win World’s Greatest Horseman

Aboard Hazardouz Material, Erin Taormino makes history.

It was a flawless trip in every event for Erin Taormino and the nine-year-old stud Hazardouz Material at the World’s Greatest Horseman. After being judged on their herd work, rein work, steer stopping and cow work, the duo came out on top with a score of 884.5 to win it all.

Taormino was up against cowboys like Todd Crawford, Shane Steffen, Justin Wright and Brady Weaver with less than 20 points difference splitting the Top 5. From young to older horses, first time World’s Greatest Horseman contestants and more, the 2025 showing at the Wolrd’s Greatest Horseman was a testimate to thw growth and success to be had in the sport.
