A $10,000 week for Cole Reiner is just what the four-time National Finals Rodeo bareback rider needed to pick up some momentum to possibly make it five. The cherry on top was the arena record setting ride that got it all going to make him your Exmark Roughstock Athlete of the Week.
At the Gooding Pro Rodeo, Reiner drew Summit Pro Rodeo’s Game Trail, which was a rematch from the 2023 NFR when Reiner was 87 points on the veteran bucking horse in Round 5 to get in the money. During the Special Section in Gooding, Reiner’s eight seconds on Game Trail was deemed beer worthy by the crowd and arena record worthy by the judges. The 91-point score is now the arena record and it added $5,400 to Reiner’s season earnings.
The momentum from Gooding rolled into Canby Rodeo and the Northwest Montana Fair and Rodeo on Reiner’s back. Aboard Calgary Stampede’s Tootsie Roll, Reiner went 86 points to get a third-place finish in Canby while an 84-point ride on The Cervi Brother’s Ruby Girl earned him second-place money in Montana.
Reiner is on the dreaded bubble as we go into the final weeks of the regular season sitting at No. 14 in the PRCA Bareback Riding World Standings, however, this $10,000 kept the wolves away for one more week and made Reiner your Exmark Roughstock Athlete of the Week.
