It is no secret that when Rocker Steiner is on, he is coming for the win. He picked up over $16,200 last week after three wins came his way out of four rodeos. He is your Exmark Roughstock Athlete of the Week.
At the Dodge City Roundup, Steiner drew Frontier Rodeo’s High Heels in Round 1 to get the Go-Round win at 88 points. He would end up in the money again in Round 2 with an 84.5-point ride to split sixth. A second-place finish in the Average would add $2,400 to his earnings.
The Mountain Valley Stampede was next and Steiner’s match up was none other than Powder River Rodeo’s standout stud, Two Buck Chuck. The big paint gave the No. 2 bareback rider in the World a run for his money and after eight seconds, Steiner’s score of 89.5 points topped the leaderboard. The win was his to the tune of $6,600.
At Kansas’ Biggest Rodeo, Beutler and Son Rodeo’s Gray Goose would get the call. The 87-point ride would be enough for a fourth-place finish and another trip to the pay window for Steiner.
The fourth and final rodeo of the weekend was the Douglas County Fair and Rodeo. Aboard Kirsten Vold Rodeo Company’s Cafe Risque, Steiner put up his highest score of the weekend at 90 points. This won the rodeo and yet again added to his season earnings.
Steiner’s battle for No. 1 in the World continues but weeks like last leave no doubt that he will cash in until September 30. He is sitting at No. 2 with big money left to be won. Steiner is your Exmark Roughstock Athlete of the Week.
