RC Landingham has had a June worth $32,000 so far and he is only getting hotter. The California cowboy dominated the kickoff of the Summer Run at Reno Rodeo to take home a set of Silver Spurs while also capitalizing in Canada and California to be your Exmark Roughstock Athlete of the Week.
Landingham’s Round 1 matchup was Andrews Rodeo’s Dusty Diamond and the two would put a score of 86.5 on the board to get it rolling. In Round 2 he would be consistent with an 87-point ride aboard Cowboy & Kids of Rosser Rodeo and in the Finals, Landingham scored his lowest score of the week with an 83.5 but it was still enough to be sixth in the round.
Reno is an average game and thanks to his outstanding first two rounds, Landingham was one point better than the next cowboy to earn the win, the coveted Silver Spurs and over $17,000.
While waiting for the Finals in Reno, Landingham traveled north for the Ponoka Stampede where he snuck into the money with an 83.25 in Round 1 and he would end up tied for eighth in the average when it was all over.
A stop was also made in his home state at the Old Santa Ynez Days Rodeo where Landingham finished second. Eight seconds with Empire Rodeo’s Up Town Funk was worth 81 points and it added another $2,500 to his earnings.
Landingham’s successful week has moved him to No. 6 in the PRCA World Standings and makes him your Exmark Roughstock Athlete of the Week.
