Wyatt Casper is gunning for his fifth straight trip to the National Finals Rodeo and two wins this past week have him one step closer to just that. He is the No. 5 ranked saddle bronc rider in the World and he is your Exmark Roughstock Athlete of the Week.

The Texas saddle bronc rider kicked off his week at the Converse County Xtreme Broncs (Wyoming) on July 15, where he matched up with Dakota Rodeo’s Silver Fox for 86.5 points, ending in a second place-finish and $4,000 to get the momentum going.

Casper’s first of two wins on the weekend came at the Snake River Stampede (Idaho). His 84.5-point ride on Legacy Pro Rodeo’s Bitter Robin was worth a fifth-place tie to bring him back for the Short Go. There, Casper matched up with Cervi Championship Rodeo’s outstanding bucking horse that they call Ricky Bobby. Casper would put together a 90-point ride to make the highest marked ride of the Snake River Stampede. He would leave Idaho with almost $5,000 added to his earnings.

At the iconic California Rodeo Salinas, Casper hit the jackpot when he cinched the win. It all started when he tied for second in the Long Round with a solid 85-point ride. He followed it up in the Short Go with an 87-point ride on Flying 5 Rodeo’s Spotted Blues to jump into the lead of the Aggregate. He added over $11,000 to his earnings while also adding a California Rodeo Salinas title to his accolades.

Casper has hit a hot streak at the perfect time and he now sits right where he needs to in the comfort of the Top 5 in the World. He is your Exmark Roughstock Athlete of the Week.
