Trey Holston rode all four bulls at the NFR Open making a statement that moved him to No. 6 in the World. This National Championship has also earned him the title of Exmark Roughstock Athlete of the Week.

Holston kicked it off with an 87-point ride on Salt River Rodeo’s Train Station to place second in Round 1. He bested that ride by one point to win Round 2 on JC Kitaif ProRodeo’s T-Bone before going 87 points again in Round 3 for his rematch with Salt River Rodeo’s Belly Dump.

He earned his spot in the four-man round where he became the first to cover Rico Suave, another of JC Kitaif ProRodeo’s, to be 89 points and win it all. The Short Round and Semifinals were both the day before his birthday.

Holston was the only cowboy to ride more than two bulls and although they didn’t pay an Average, it’s worth noting that he accumulated 186.5 more points than the next closest cowboy.

The NFR Open win landed him just outside the Top 5 in the PRCA World Standings. He now has $115,710 to his name.
