World Champion tie-down roper Haven Meged backed into the box for Bracket 4 of the legendary Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo with winning on his mind. Two consistent runs later and he had two Go-Round wins and a Timed Event Athlete of the Week title in his pocket.
The Round 1 bar would be set at 8.8 seconds to get Meged the win by over half a second. When it came time for Round 2, Meged would speed up by three tenths of a second to be one of 8.5-second runs. He split the Go-Round win to be the No. 1 tie-down roper moving on to the Semi-Finals.
Meged’s two runs brought his Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo earnings to $4,410 to put him in the Semi-Finals. He is also your Timed Event Athlete of the Week with a phenomenal start to his Texas Swing.
