It was another busy week of rodeoing across the country. Here is a look at Five Fast Facts to get you caught up with the happenings.
1. The Days of ’47 Rodeo marked only the eighth time in history rodeo athletes have competed for Gold, Silver and Bronze medals - The first two times were in conjunction with the Olympic Winter Games in Calgary (1988) and Salt Lake City (2002) and the rest coming at the Days of 47 Rodeo beginning in 2017.
2. At the Age of 40 Will Lowe won the Snake River Stampede for the third time and first since 2007 here he went back-to-back in 2006-2007.
3. After 14 attempts, Stetson Wright was the first cowboy this year to cover Frontier Rodeo’s Coffee Brewed Money. The ride was marked 90 points and earned him a split of the PRCA Xtreme Bulls at the Fiesta Days Rodeo. He split with Trey Benton III who was 90 points on Powder River rodeo’s Top Shelf
4. Five of the Top 25 highest-paying PRCA rodeos took concluded between Saturday and Monday - Snake River, Salinas, Days of 47 Rodeo, Fiesta Days Rodeo, and the Ogden Pioneer Days
5. Steer wrestler Tucker Allen earned his fourth win in California of the season in Salinas. Allen was 20.2 seconds on three head to get the win
