It was another busy weekend in rodeo with the biggest rodeo being Dodge City. Here are Five Fast Facts to catch you up with any of the happenings from the last week in rodeo.
1. Kolby Wanchuk has made over $25,000 since the beginning of July, including winning over $14,000 last weekend at the Home on the Range Championship Ride.
2. The total money paid out across all rodeos this year passed the $40,000,000 mark over the weekend.
3. Shane Hanchey made over $8,000 over the weekend with a third-place finish at the War Bonnett Roundup and a first-place finish at the Douglas County Fair and Rodeo.
4. Ernie Courson has already made $9,500 in August, more than double that of the entire month of July.
5. Deklan Garland was one of two cowboys to cover two bulls at the Dodge City Roundup, both of which were marked over 85 points. Garland won the average by over 6.5 points.
