After sitting out the first half of the season, Tyler Waguespack is heading towards his tenth qualification to the National Finals Rodeo thanks to a win coming his way at the North Dakota Roughrider Cup.
“You know, I missed a lot of this year having surgery and then fighting my way back. This rodeo right here is my last chance, I came over here knowing I had to win first just to give myself a chance to go the Finals. So hats off to the guys putting this thing on. I’m happy to be here,” Waguespack said.
By three tenths of a second, Waguespack claimed the cup with his time of 3.4 seconds. This $14,000 pay day allowed him to jump to No. 13 in the PRCA Steer Wrestling World Standings and brought Las Vegas back into his sights.
JD Struxness and Cash Robb round out the Top 3 finishers at the North Dakota Roughrider Cup.
