Four-Time World Champions Hailey Kinsel and Sister Get the Reno Rodeo Win They Have Been Waiting For

Hailey Kinsel and her iconic horse Sister take home a set of Silver Spurs after winning the Reno Rodeo.

Hailey Kinsel has finished second in Reno twice but 2024 proved to be her year. Aboard her great mare, Sister, she claimed her first set of Silver Spurs.

“Oh this is so special. I knew my horse could do it and I just wanted to prove it to her and to myself and to all you beautiful people so this is just amazing. She’s incredible, Sister deserved this,” Kinsel said.

The Short Go in Reno brought the fastest times we had seen in the barrel racing all week long. Emily Beisel stopped the clock at 16.99 seconds and Kinsel was the second fastest of the round with a 17.06. The Aggregate came down to five hundredths of a second between the Kinsel and Beisel.

“He attitude and her try is what over comes anything. She has the talent but a lot people have the talent, a lot of horses have the talent. She just tries harder than anybody so I’m just glad she’s my partner and I just try and keep up with her effort,” Kinsel said of Sister.

Kinsel was ranked No. 10 in the World before adding $16,000 to her earnings in Reno.
