Fulton Rutland Marked 90 Points at Bulls Night Out in Fort Worth, Leads After Night 1

The 28-year-old Okie put himself in the driver’s seat as the only one to cover two bulls Tuesday night

Fulton Rutland impressed at the Bulls Night Out at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo with a 90-point ride on his first bull Tuesday.

Rutland had been on Can’t Get Right before, but didn’t realize that until he was in the box.

“I didn’t realize it until I put my rope on him what bull that was and I was like oh buddy you’re in for it now.”

Rutland stayed composed after the 90-point ride, and had to, because he still had another to get on Tuesday night. In the 10-Man Finals, he was the only cowboy to make the whistle, doing so with 86.5 points on Dakota Rodeo’s Summertime Blues.

Now, he’ll wait to see if this 176.5 points on two hold up for the win as 40 more bull riders compete in Dickies Arena Wednesday night.

“Don’t get too high don’t get too low. It’s the same all the way. Consistency is what wins.”
