The Gem State Classic Pro Rodeo wrapped up in Blackfoot, Idaho this past weekend and paid out $42,110.
Keenan Hayes won the bareback with 83 points on Powder River’s Siete Lagos with Ty Bruer coming in second. Ben Karson takes the steer wresting with a 3.7 second run and it was Chaz Kananen and Colby Siddoway with a 4.4 to get the win in the team roping. Leon Fountain made scored of 88 points to win the saddle bronc riding by two and a hlaf points. Colton Kofoed won the tie-down roping with an 8.3 and Jordan Spears won the bull riding with 91 points.
The real Cinderella story came with Jessi Telford who stopped the clock in the barrel racing at 15.41 on Famous Shiney Hiney. Telford lost her main mount, Coolwhip, earlier in August. This is her first win at a rodeo since.
