Hailey Kinsel Sets Arena Record at National Western on Way to Bracket 7 Sweep

The four-time World Champion made her mark in her first trip to the National Western since 2020

Hailey Kinsel got her 2024 off to a great start in Denver by setting a new arena record at the National Western on just her seventh run of the young season and second of f the calendar year.

The record-setter came in Bracket 7, Round 1 when she and Sister stopped the clock at 14.63 seconds.

"(Sister) was little fat and sassy at the NFR, we needed to work off a little rust, but it looks like we did that,” Kinsel said. “Glad to come back (to Denver for the first time in a few years) and see the ground so good.”

The four-time World Champion followed up her 14.63 with a 14.78 later in the day in Round 2 to win that Go-Round as well.

The National Western pays out both rounds at the end of all 16 Qualifying Round perfs and Kinsel currently sits first in Round 1 and fifth in Round 2, which would earn her between $5,000 and $6,000 total if it holds. She will also compete in Saturday’s Semifinals.
