Hailey Kinsel Stops the Clock at 17.21 in Round 2 of Reno, Takes Lead in Average

Kinsel and Sister are looking to make a big standings jump to kick off 100 Rodeos in 100 Days

After Wednesday’s performance, Hailey Kinsel has the lead in Reno with a two-head time of 34.48 seconds. Kinsel is sitting first in Round 1 and third in Round 2 with two Long Round performances to go.

Her Round 2 time of 17.21 on Wednesday was the third fastest of the rodeo.

“I wanted to get a really smooth takeoff on (Sister), she has been nailing her first barrel,” Kinsel said. “I didn’t get exactly the takeoff I wanted, obviously with all of these people here, she was excited to get her job done and get after it, so she didn’t really want to wait on me.”

Kinsel is No. 10 in the WPRA World Standings and on the rise. Last weekend, she won the Strawberry Days Rodeo (Utah) and in June, she has won three checks worth more than $2,500.
