A 1.9 sat on top of the leaderboard courtesy of Josie Conner and it was Hali Williams who came just one tenth shy of catching her. Williams’ 2.0-second run has her sitting No. 2 after two rounds of playoffs.
“It’s pretty exciting. I bought that horse around this time last year and we found some health problems on him so he’s been at the vet, Signature, and they got him back healthy and we figured it all out. So I’m really excited to actually be able to showcase his talent and be able to give Redlight time off when he needs it,” Williams said.
With a new allergy in store for Williams’ equine partner, Lippy, certain treats are off the menu but when it comes to the arena and his ability to do his job, Lippy is all in.
“Right before the NFR, I was supposed to have him there and he had an allergic reaction and lost a lot of weight. He had to go stay at Signature for a month and a half and then went to the rehab. It’s been a whole process, but the horse, he’s got a heart pure gold so I’m really excited to have him this year,” she said.
There is one performance left before the Finals at Rodeo Austin and Williams is safely inside the Top 8 thanks to a solid 2.0-second run.
