Friday (August 28) was rough on the bronc riders at the Horse Heaven Round-Up in Kennewick with several being bucked and two in particular requiring medical attention.
Both Stetson Wright and Lefty Holman took beatings — with Lefty making it to the buzzer but grabbing his knee after landing wrong on the dismount, and Stetson being bucked, knocked out cold and stomped on.
Luckily, by the time the bull riders were up, Stetson was back on his feet and helping behind the chutes, although he chose to play it safe and not get on his bull.
At the conclusion of the rodeo performance, Western Sports Reporter Katy Lucas caught up with Leslie Jackson of Justin Sports Medicine on the ground in Kennewick to check in on the cowboys’ status.
Ultimately, Jackson reports, both are doing ok and being further evaluated.
