Jordan Hansen and Cole Fischer are both recovering from injuries suffered recently.
On December 30 Cole Fischer suffered two torn nerves and an uprooted nerve from his spine. The damage to the nerves, which were responsible for his arm function, paralyzed his right arm.
Fischer took to social media on Monday to give an update saying, “I have been doing therapy three days a week in Texas and have an appointment set for the neurologist for surgery. By the grace of God last Saturday night I got some feeling back in my fingers for a short time which means my nerves are trying to heal.”
In 2022 Fischer qualified for his first career NFR, finishing in 14th place in the PRCA Bull Riding World Standings.
Fellow Bull Rider Jordan Hansen, a two-time NFR qualifier, is out of action with a left shoulder injury according to the PRCA.
Hansen suffered the injury after an 88-point ride at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo in the Wild Card Round.
Hansen says he dislocated his left shoulder, which is his riding arm, and is not sure if there is any other damage. He is waiting to get an MRI to see the extent of the injury.
Hansen is hoping to compete at San Antonio next week, but will have to see what the MRI shows.
