Jace Trosclair made big waves in his career during the 2024 season to cinch his first National Finals Rodeo qualification and he did so with a Top 3 finish in the World Standings when the regular season came to a close.
After finishing No. 26 in the World in 2022, Trosclair returned to the rodeo arena in 2024 and went straight to work. The 22-year-old Louisiana bull rider was steady and consistent, especially during the Summer Run, to make dreams a reality.
Rodeo Celina, $4,010
After a hit or miss winter, Trosclair made his highest marked ride of the regular season to win Rodeo Celina and get things rolling for the summer. The 88-point ride on McCoy Rodeo’s Faith would be the only qualified ride on the bull in the 2024 season.
Reno Rodeo Xtreme Bulls, $5,673
Momentum picked up in June at Reno Rodeo Xtreme Bulls when Trosclair was 163.5 on two head to be fourth in the Average.
Although the 78.5 would be out of the Go-Round money in the Long Round, it played a key part in the Average. In the Finals, Trosclair matched up with Big Stone Rodeo’s Hail Storm to be 85 points. This pout him fourth in the Go-Round to cap off the kick off to the Summer Run.
Cheyenne Frontier Days, $7,860
At the Daddy of ‘Em All, and 85.5 in Performance 5 moved Troslcair on to the Semifinals. An eight second trip on Dakota Rodeo’s Bubba G would prove to be worth 86 points and the Semifinal win.
A no score in the Finals kept Trosclair from earning the title but he was only fueling the fire that he would end his season with.
Norco Mounted Posse PRCA Rodeo, $6,279
The second of two wins in the month of August came at the Norco Mounted Posse PRCA Rodeo when Trosclair drew Rick’s Honky Ton of Diamond G Rodeo. The 87.5-point ride would split the win for Troslcair.
Just the week before was the first win of August at Hell’s A Roarin Bull & Broncs. An 86-point ride on Trans Am would all almost the same amount of money to his regular season earnings.
Ellensburg Rodeo Xtreme Bulls, $17,759
A match up with Dakota Rodeo’s Summertime Blues would be enough for 84.5 points on Labor Day Weekend in Washington. With no qualified rides in the Finals, Trosclair cashed in on the ground money before that First Round third-place held up in the Average too.
This one rodeo would be Trosclair’s highest paying rodeo of the regular season.
Puyallup Rodeo, $13,631
An 81.5 in the First Performance was good enough for second in the Go-Round and $3,881 by itself. It also ended up being just enough for Trosclair to advance to the Semifinal.
The Semifinal would be a moment where he capitalized. He went 86.5 points on Wayne Vold Rodeo’s Chico. In the Finals, an 84.5 would put Trosclair second behind veteran bull rider Trevor Reiste.
Pendleton Xtreme Bulls Tour Finale, $11,616
At Happy Canyon Arena, Trosclair was the picture of consistency when it came to making the whistle. An 82.5 in Round 1 would be the lowest marked ride o his trip to Pendleton. In Round 2, the 85.5-point ride would be third in the Go-Round before an 86 was eighth in the Fourth Performance.
With nobody covering all four bulls, the Average title automatically fell to three head and Trosclair found himself the No. 4 cowboy.
