Jackie Crawford is one of the most decorated athletes across all rodeo events, and in 2024 she will be heading to another NFR of Breakaway Roping. Although she is a regular at the finals, it is not something she will ever take for granted.
“When you set out to do something as big as that, especially now that the competition is so crazy good to get to the NFR in the Breakaway. It is definitely one of those things where you feel accomplished when you get there.”
The Cowboy Channel recently announced that the National Finals of Breakaway will be televised live for the first time on the channel. Crawford knows how big of an opportunity that is for all of the ropers.
“We’ve made it big now, haven’t we? I love that, I love that news. That means a lot for us as Breakaway ropers to be a part of The Cowboy Channel and to have our event showcased.”
The Top 15 WPRA breakaway ropers will compete for prize money of $300,000 in 2024 an increase of $50,000 from a year ago, during the two-day, 10-round performance.
