Jared Parsonage, a stalwart of the Canadian Finals Rodeo, put together the best season of his PRCA career in 2023.
After finishing No. 13 with $122,314 during his first NFR year in 2022, Parsonage heads to Las Vegas in the No. 12 spot with $139,552 already in 2023. No matter how he finishes the year, Parsonage will only be adding to his career highs.
BIGGEST PAYDAYS
Calgary Stampede, $32,455
Parsonage had the biggest win of his career in Calgary, which is his favorite rodeo. He was the only one to ride every bull and took the Finals with an 89-point ride. He won a total of three rodeos in Canada in 2023 and this one shot him from No. 31 to No. 12 in the PRCA World Standings.
HIGHEST MARKED RIDES
Sanders County Fair & PRCA Rodeo, 92 Points
Not only was it one of the best rides we saw all season, but it was Parsonage’s first 90-point ride of his career. He was matched up with one of the best in Chiseled of D&H Cattle Co and went the full eight to the tune of 92 points to get the win.
Xtreme Bull Bash (Texas), 88.5 Points
Parsonage was marked 88.5 points at the Xtreme Bull Bash to lock in a second-place finish at the February rodeo. Parsonage finished behind Trevor Reiste who was a half-points bette with an 89-point ride. The second-place finish earned Parsonage $7,500.
NOTABLE WINS
Broncs and Honky Tonks Spring Rodeo (Alberta), 86 Points
Parsonage’s other win in Alberta that was not The Stampede came in Medicine Hat in April. He was one point better than fellow Canadian standout Jacob Garnder.
Big Sky Pro Rodeo, (Montana) 87.5 Points
Parsonage earned a nice check at the Big Sky Pro Rodeo with an 87.5-point ride on Bouchon. The ride won the rodeo by four points and won Parsonage a check of $3,417. It was one of Parsonage’s two wins in Montana in 2023 which was the only state he won in.
