Jayco Roper took the first round of Bracket 2 after going 87.5 points on Championship Pro Rodeo’s Meat Cracker. Roper is battling an arm injury but knew he had to take advantage of the pen of horses.
“I went to Oklahoma City yesterday and hurt my arm pretty good. The pen of horses were really good and I got lucky and drew the best one.”
It was a rematch for Roper, who went into the ride not knowing he had been on the bronc before.
“They said I got on him two years ago and got bucked off. I forgot.”
Roper enters the second round of his bracket with $2,000 and is in a great spot to secure his spot in the Semis.
