JB Mauney appears to be heading straight to the top of the PRCA World Standings.

Since being down at No. 32 in the beginning of May, Mauney has improved his spot in the World Standings every week, steadily rising all the way to No. 5 after Cowboy Christmas.

Mauney was closing in on a spot in the Top 15 by the end of May and that’s when he got red hot. During the first weekend of June, he won all three rodeos he entered and all three rides were 88 points or better. Three days after his huge weekend from June 2-5, he won the Parker County Sheriff’s Posse Xtreme Bulls with 90.5 points on Duke. Those four wins in six days made him more than $9,000.
