Jeff Medders and Jacob Talley Look At The Top 15 Steer Wrestlers

The top 15 steer wrestlers will be back in the Thomas and Mack and even though No. 1 cowboy, Jacob Talley, has a big lead right now there’s no guarantee it will stay that way. Although there are not the usual World Champions competing, like Ty Erickson and Hunter Cure, the field is still packed with athletes looking for that Gold Buckle.

Dirk Tavenner finished No. 16 in the standings for 2020 and he cinched his shot at a World Championship for the first time this year. Cody Devers is another first timer that had an outstanding regular season. Tristan Martin had a Cinderella story at the Pendleton Roundup and will be backing into the box at the Thomas and Mack for the first time as well.

World Champion Tyler Waguespack is always consistent, and he will be hunting for his third Gold Buckle. The other World Champion making another appearance is Tyler Pearson after taking things slow for the 2020 season. Dakota Eldridge is coming in in the top three. He has won the NFR Average title twice and is looking for that first World Championship.
