It took two bulls from every cowboy to determine a winner in Calgary on Sunday. Jordan Hansen was the only one to cover a bull and he did so in spectacular fashion.
Hansen was 87.50 on Diamond Back, matching the score he received on Razor in the Round of 10, to win the $50,000 prize and the coveted bronze at The Calgary Stampede.
“Not gonna lie, I really wish I wouldn’t have fell off the first one so I didn’t have to get on two, but that’s a great bull of Calgary’s, seen him once, the other day they won a round on him,” Hansen said. “If I had to pick one rodeo to turn things around at, I’m sure happy it’s here.”
Hansen tied for third in Pool B with $9,500 and made a clutch ride on Last Rights for 83 points to earn $3,500 on the final day of pool competition to advance to Showdown Sunday.
The Calgary Stampede Showdown was book-ended with wins by Canadians as Saskatchewan native Bertina Olafson kicked off the Showdown with a win in the barrel racing.
