Jordon Briggs Wins First Cheyenne Frontier Days Title Aboard Rollo

Briggs hadn’t won a dollar since June 1, and has been on fire ever since hitting the road

World Champion Jordon Briggs and her famous horse, Rollo, have been rallying all summer. After not having earned a single dollar on June 1, Briggs and Rollo have won over $50,000 in just two months.

The team stopped the clock with a wicked 17.06-second run to secure their first title at Cheyenne and add over $17,000 to Briggs’ season earning.

“In barrel racing, we are nothing without our horses,” Briggs said. “Rollo is one of the best horses ever.”

There is no doubt that Rollo loves his jockey and there is no better fit for him than Briggs.

Cheyenne Frontier Days is no stranger to Briggs and her family either. Her mother, Kristie Peterson, won this same rodeo five times in barrel racing.

“My mom won it on the 100th year and won some really special stuff from it that I have played with since I was a little girl,” Briggs said.

Perhaps Briggs’s daughter, Bexley, can now wear her mom’s shiny new buckle.
