Kade Berry’s Path to Bareback Riding

Guided by family, Kade Berry carves out his own legacy in Rodeo.

Being involved in rodeo came early for young talent Kade Berry, a last name that might sound familiar with older brother, 4x NFR Qualifier Leighton Berry being one of his greatest inspirations, but it doesn’t stop there, Kade says:

“It goes a lot further than just me and my brother. My whole family has put us in the position to do our job, and they’ve helped us get all the way here. The sky’s the limit.”

Kade didn’t always dream of being a bareback rider. As a kid, he explored many interests like boxing, fishing tournaments, tie-down roping, and more. It wasn’t until 2019, after watching a video of his older brother Leighton Berry making an 88.5-point ride in Cloverdale, British Columbia, that Kade knew what he wanted to do.

“It’s everything, having people around you to support you, even when I was really unsure this is what I wanted to do, even when I just knew I wanted to try it. But I’ve never wanted to try anything like I did bareback riding”

Though an injury cut his 2024 season short, Kade came back strong. He made a statement with an 89-point ride on Pete Carr’s Night Faded at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo for his first rodeo back of the season.
