Kade Bruno Talks Career-Best Ride at Brad Gjermundson Xtreme Broncs

Bruno joined WSR to discuss his big start to the 2025 regular season

In an electrifying showdown at the Brad Gjermundson Xtreme Broncs in New Town, North Dakota, Kade Bruno delivered the highest-scoring ride of his career, an impressive 92.5 points in the Finals aboard Straight Moonshine.

His stellar performance earned him over $30,000 in total winnings toward the 2025 season, already solidifying his position among the sport’s elite for another season.

Bruno was no stranger to Straight Moonshine, having faced the bronc before.

“She gives you the same trip every time—really electric. It’s a little bit of a smaller pen in New Town, so she usually circles left. She had a big start and kicked all the way through it,” he said.

The competition was terrific in North Dakota, with Bruno and fellow 2024 NFR qualifier Dawson Hay trading wins in every round. In a back-and-forth battle, Hay ultimately edged out Bruno to claim the Average title with 265 points to his 264.5. The Top 5 in the event all made December’s NFR.
