Kade Bruno was the last cowboy out at the Redding Rodeo and he rode Corey & Lange Rodeo’s Teardrop for 85 points to edge out Wade Sundell, who took the lead earlier in the performance.
“I was really excited to have (Teardrop),” he said. “I knew that horse was going to be awesome and if I showed up and did my job, it could be big.”
Bruno also joked that he had a chance to warmup beforehand because he competed at the Rowell Ranch Rodeo 200 miles south in Hayward earlier in the day. A buckoff and a rodeo win in the same day sums up how life can be on the rodeo trail sometimes.
Bruno now sits No. 15 in the PRCA Saddle Bronc Riding World Standings.
