Bareback rider Kade Sonnier made his debut at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo and was sure to make his presence known as he turned in the highest marked ride of Round 1 with 85.5 points on Calgary Stampede’s Bigtimin Houston.
Sonnier is currently No. 3 in the PRCA World Standings as he balances his rodeo career while continuing to work towards obtaining his master’s degree.
Sonnier earned a check for $2,500 on night one and will compete in Rounds 2 and 3 of Bracket 1 as he looks to reserve a spot in the Semifinals.
