Keenan Hayes Claims “Mr. 100" Title After Securing the Win in Ellensburg

Keenan Hayes, the No. 1 bareback rider in the world, won the championship in the at the Ellensburg Rodeo over the weekend taking home a grand total of $7,061 to add to his season earnings.

“I was lucky enough to win Greeley in my home state and it was the 100th year and then we got here and on the tower it says “The 100th” and I didn’t know that until I got here and figured that would be really cool, so I’m just trying to knock all these 100’s out of the way,” said Hayes.

After his win at the 100th Greeley Stampede earlier this season and now the 100th Ellensburg Rodeo, Hayes was announced as “Mr. 100” in the arena as his outstanding rookie year rolls on.

Hayes was followed up in Ellensburg by Tim O’Connell, who won a total of $5,112 over the weekend for sixth place in the Long Round and first in the Short Round.
