We talk a lot about the bubble when talking World Standings this time of year, but there were three changes at the top over the weekend as well.
With $214,280, Damian Brennan is the leader in the saddle bronc riding once again. He held the position for about four months after winning RodeoHouston before being overtaken by Kade Bruno. He finished second in the Long Round in Ellensburg and second overall in Walla Walla to earn about $9,000 this past weekend.
On the head side of the team roping, Dustin Egusquiza joins partner Levi Lord as a fellow World No. 1 after finishing second in the Average in Ellensburg. Egusquiza/Lord have been trading time on top with two-time World Champion pair Kaleb Driggers/Junior Nogueira.
There’s also a new top-ranked cowgirl and it’s Josie Conner, who has taken the No. 1 spot from the breakaway roper who has held it since March, Jackie Crawford. Conner is fresh off of a terrific performance in Ellensburg where she placed in first or second in all three rounds and won the Average.
