Leighton Berry Rides Special Delivery For 88.5 Points For Round Win to Kickoff Calgary Stampede

Berry is up to No. 2 in the World

Leighton Berry won the First Round of Pool A in Calgary in convincing fashion with 88.5 points on The Calgary Stampede‘s Special Delivery.

Berry, who is currently No. 2 in the World, was paid $7,000 for the win. It was the highest-marked ride of his career in Calgary.

“The adrenaline was going when I had Special Delivery, that’s an amazing bucking horse, bucks hard, tries hard, I showed up today after a mediocre Fourth run ready to get after it in Calgary,” he said.

Seven bareback riders rode for at least 81 points Friday, but the closest to Berry was Nick Pelke’s 84.5.
