Leighton Berry Wins Cinch Playoff with 90-Point Ride

Leighton Berry was as good as you could be at the Cinch Playoffs. He won more than $18,000 and has jumped inside the top 10 thanks to some great riding.

His weekend opened with an 88-point ride to win Performance 1. He followed that up with an 83.5-point ride to secure his spot in the Semifinals where he would go 86.5 points to win the round and advance to the Shootout.

Berry saved the best for last as he went 90-points on Calgary Stampede’s Xplosive Skies to win the title in Puyallup.

After his ride, Berry talked about his draw and how he knew he had a great opportunity in front of him.

“Man I was fired up to have that horse. That’s probably the rankest horse I have been on.”

The win moves Berry one step closer to his ultimate goal of a World Title.

“It gives me a better chance to make the finals, for sure. I have a Gold Buckle on my mind.”

Berry is now ninth in the PRCA World Standings with over $112,000 earned on the year.
