Logan Hay’s 87-Point Ride on Bobs Alibi Advances Him to the Semifinals of Cheyenne Frontier Days

The Canadian bronc rider is carrying on the family tradition as he dominates Performance 4 of the Daddy of ‘Em All

Canadian saddle bronc rider Logan Hay is showing up and showing out at the Cheyenne Frontier Days.

Matched up with Dakota Rodeo’s Bobs Alibi in Performance 4, he rode for 87 points.

“Yeah, that’s a great horse. (She) actually came from Canada, my good friend Bill Fessler raised (her). I’ve seen her since she was just a three-year-old, my little brother has been on her,” Hay said. “I was just blessed to see I had her drawn today.”

Hay took the win in the performance over his cousin, Ben Anderson, who came in a close second with an 86-point ride.

“Riding with my cousin Ben here, there is no better moment,” he said.

Hay’s dad, Rod Hay, was the Cheyenne Frontier Days Champion Saddle Bronc Rider in the year of 2000. Needless to say, Logan would like to carry on the family tradition.

“Yeah, it’s awesome coming to rodeos like this when we’ve got a family history like that,” Hay said of his dad winning a saddle bronc riding title in Cheyenne.
