Logan Medlin had never qualified for the National Finals Rodeo before 2020, but he hasn’t missed it since. Four of his five trips have been alongside Coleman Proctor, including a career-best finish at No. 6 in the PRCA World Standings in 2022. Entering Las Vegas this year at No. 5, Medlin has a chance to top that.

Proctor and Medlin thrive under the bright lights, winning at least one Go-Round in each of their last three NFR campaigns.

Prairie Circuit Finals, $5,372

Proctor and Medlin secured a single round placement with a 4.1 in Round 2, but their steadiness earned them the Average title and primed them for a standout 2024 season as early as October 2023. Their three-head time of 18.1 seconds clinched the win by nearly five seconds

Rodeo Austin, $12,481

With two of their three runs clocking in at 4.5 seconds or faster, Proctor and Medlin secured third in the Average at Austin with a total time of 13.5 seconds. This was their sole appearance in a Texas Swing Final in 2024

Reno Rodeo, $12,556

Proctor and Medlin launched the 100 Rodeos in 100 Days run in Reno with three solid times between 4.8 and 6.4 seconds, finishing in a tie for third in the Average with Jr. Dees and JC Flake. They took home $5,806 for their Round 1 performance and $6,750 for their Average placement.

Western Stampede, $3,209

Proctor and Medlin’s lone Cowboy Christmas win came courtesy of a 4.9-second run in West Jordan, Utah, but they also won more than $2,000 in Livingston, Montana and Prescott, Arizona over the Fourth. It was their second Cowboy Christmas win as partners, the first coming in Cody in 2022.

Cheyenne Frontier Days, $15,185

Proctor and Medlin showed grit at The Dad, advancing as the last pair from the Third Performance before finishing third in the Second Semifinal to punch their ticket to the Finals at Cheyenne. A 10-flat run in the Finals earned them second place and $8,000.

Cinch Playoffs Puyallup, $19,900

Facing the best in the World at the Washington State Fairgrounds, Proctor and Medlin delivered a dominant performance. They clocked 4.9 or faster on all four runs, winning three rounds, including the Finals, which netted them $13,000. In two of the three years the Cinch Playoffs have been held in Puyallup, it has been won by Proctor/Medlin. They also won the Cinch Playoffs Governor’s Cup in 2023.
