Marcos Costa is Headed for Success in San Angelo

Marcos Costa is now sitting at the No. 3 spot in San Angelo after he made the fastest run of the night on Saturday. He stopped the clock at 7.5 to be two and a half seconds faster than his round one time.

The calf roping has been tough in San Angelo, a 7.3 is winning the second round and a 15.7 is currently leading the average on two head however, it looks like Costa will make it back to the finals.

“Well, I was blessed to get a good calf. I’ve been working hard all winter, getting myself feeling good. When I the see the calf and am riding a good horse, thank God everything went well,” Costa said.

His horsepower comes by the name of TJ. He heard about him through a friend, tried him and TJ has been an important part of Costa’s comeback.

The San Angelo Champion is crowned based on a three head average and there are six performance left before the finals.
