Meet Billy Minick, the man who went from NFR bull rider to stock contractor to owner of the world’s largest honky tonk

If you’re walking around the Fort Worth Stockyards and ask someone ‘who is Billy Minick?’ Most of them will tell you he is the man in charge of Billy Bob’s Texas, the world’s largest honky tonk.

But if you ask people who have been around rodeo, they’ll tell you Billy Minick did a lot of great things before that.

He qualified for the National Finals for the bull riding in the late 60s, then he purchased a rodeo company from Gene Autry.

Last week, Justin McKee got the story of Billy Minick the rodeo cowboy, Billy Minick the stock contractor, Billy Minick the honky tonk owner and everything in between.
