Meet the 2020 NFR Athletes - Isaac Diaz

In addition to picking the broncs as the PRCA Saddle Bronc Riding Director, Isaac Diaz will also be riding ‘em at the 2020 Wrangler NFR, he qualified in the No. 14 spot with $44,382. It is his seventh career qualification.

Diaz won two rodeos this season as the champion at the McCone County Fair Rodeo in Circle, Montana and at the Oakley (Utah) Independence Day Rodeo. Those two wins earned him almost $5,000 combined.

Diaz also earned some nice money from Aug. 5-8. He was second in Lawton which netted him $3,092. After that, he posted two rides of 86 points or better to win the Long Round and finish second in the Short Round at the United States Open Xtreme Broncs Match in Faith, South Dakota. He banked close to $5,000 there.

Later on that month, he had another big-money second place finish in Oklahoma when he rode Yellowstone for 89 points (and $2,750) in Guymon.

The 34-year-old came as close as you can get to the NFR in 2019 by finishing 16th in the final standings. His best career finish came in 2015 when he was sixth with $226,000.
