Jessica Routier will be entering Globe Life Field this year ranked ninth in the world rankings in barrel racing.
This will be Routier’s third time qualifying for the Wrangler NFR. Her first appearance was back in 2018. That year she placed in seven out of ten rounds and was second in the NFR average. She was also Reserve WPRA World Champion and earned $251,704 dollars.
In 2019, she placed in six out of ten rounds, finishing ninth in average but remained in the eighth position in the world. Her total winnings at NFR were $94,615 dollars, with a total of $191,197 dollars for the year.
Coming into the NFR this year, she has accumulated $51,370 and has placed in 42 rodeos in 2020. Routier has had a full year.
She tied for first at the Oregon Trail Rodeo in Hastings, Nebraska, finished second at the Black Hills Stock Show and Rodeo, the Sitting Bull Stampede, Eastern Montana Fair Rodeo, and the Fallon County Fair and Rodeo.

For the last two years she has been named the bested dressed barrel racer. Fiery Miss West AKA Missy is the horse that has been with Routier for much of her success; Gary Westergren is the owner of Missy.
