Orin Larsen has been a staple at the top of the bareback world standings, but he has yet to capture his first World Title. Larsen currently sits in third place in the world standings and is $40,000 behind Tim O’Connell for first place. Larsen has finished inside the top-10 in the world standings each of the last five years, with 2019 being his best finish (2nd place).

2020 has been another strong season for Larsen. He has wins at the Buffalo Stampede in South Dakota, The Coleman in Texas, the Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo in Utah, and most notably at the Riggin’ Rally in Darby, Montana.

In just the second such event, Larsen went 92.5 edging out Tilden Hooper for the top spot.

After the Riggin’ Rally win, Larsen spoke with The Cowboy Channel’s Michael Snow on what the win meant for him and his 2020 season.

“To be amongst those other guys is a huge honor,” he said. “Anytime you can shake hands with them and get ready and get on, we are cheering them on, but anytime you can come out on top is definitely special.”

The Riggin’ Rally earned Larsen a $7,702 paycheck to add on to his big 2020 season.

If he were to win his first title, he’d add to his already impressive NFR resume. He has now qualified six times and was Reserve World Championship in 2019, a year in which he cashed a check in six rounds and won Round Four.
